Coaches Box - A Note of Appreciation

Fencor Coaches

Just a short thank you to all the men and women who; took all the time necessary, gave up all that family and even vacation time, planned all those practices, went to all those tournaments, listened to all those excuses for missing all those planned practices, put up with all those bad refs’ calls at all those tournaments, cared so much about each player, tried so hard to be positive in critiquing the players, and loved practically every minute of it!!!!!!!!!!!

Fencor prides itself on the quality of volunteer coaches we have. Not that each one is perfect all the time but overall there is a lot of basketball taught, team building done, individual improvement and positive relationships built. On average between 2 practices a week and about 7 tournaments per team, the coach spends a minimum of 120 hours with the team, not counting any travel, planning, phone calls, ‘wondering’ time, tryouts, and meetings. Somewhere all this fits the definition of commitment. Thanks!
